Make a Treble Crochet












Treble crochet (also called triple crochet) is a very tall stitch, which you create by making two yarn over before inserting your hook into the next stitch. The tall stitches create a fabric with more drape than the single crochet or half double crochet stitches. Its pattern abbreviation is (tr or TR).

Treble Crochet

To begin a project with a row of treble crochet, create a foundation chain equal to the number of treble crochet stitches you require, plus 4. Work your first treble crochet into the fifth chain from
your hook. Continue to the end of the chain. Turn.

1 )-Yarn over twice.
2)- Insert your hook into the next stitch, yarn over, and draw the yarn through the
stitch . There are now 4 loops on the hook .
3)- Yarn over and draw the yarn through the first 2 loops on the hook. There are now 3 loops on the hook .
4)- Yarn over and draw the yarn through the next 2 loops on the hook. There are now 2 loops on the hook .
5)- Yarn over and draw the yarn through both loops on the hook .One treble crochet created.
6)- Continue to follow steps 1–5 until you have completed your first row of treble crochet.
Chain 4 to create turning chain .
7)- Turn the piece. Skip first stitch at beginning of row. The turning chain counts as first treble
crochet of row. Follow steps 1–5 to create a treble crochet in second stitch of row. Remember to insert hook through both loops at top of stitch from previous row .
