Dress for my sister

Another Picture

I have made this dress for my sister. I have used a lace weight wool yarn.- about 560 meter per 100 grams, and crochet hook size 2.5mm, and 3mm.  This pattern is a Japaneses charted pattern, and the original pattern has no shrug with it. I have made this shrug using the same stitches of dress.

She didn't decide how she will wear it. She wanted to wear it with  a skinny jean  , and I suggested to wear it with high boot in another contrast color-maybe brown; I think she will need another blouse with more suit color. she agrees about another blouse , but not  about boot. If she decides, I will give you another picture.

Motif's workshop

From time to time , I like to try doing new  motif, stitch , and technique. I specially prefer the challenging one. It is a chance to learn something new. Lastly there is a motif really challenging -in my own opinion, so I gave it a lot of tries to do it, and finally I did it.

This motif is a center circle surrounded by eight circles, but not started in the center like most of the crochet motif. It starts by doing 4 circles, but not completely, then doing the other four circle from inside -like the above picture.

Here I have complete the four circles , and will be ready to make the center circle.

As this picture shows, I have started to join the center circle with the outer circles.

Here I almost have joined the center circle with all circles around.

Here I have started to go out, and started to complete the other outer four circles to finish the motif.

My fingerless glove

This is my fingerless glove, and my pattern. I wanted to share it with you, and hope you find it easy to follow.

The pattern of fingerless glove

Materials,
-one ball of 50 gram cotton thread size 20- I have used the Egyptian one.
- steel crochet hook size 1.50mm
Measurements
I have made this one to suit my hand. The measurement of my hand is 17cm under the fingers , and 19cm under the thumb- this is the wider part of my hand. You can use bigger hook to make the glove bigger, or use smaller hook if your hand is smaller. You can also use a lace weight yarn  to make this fingerless glove.

This fingerless glove is made from up to down.

Chain 47 chains , and join . Be careful not to twist.
Foundation rnd: ch3 as first dc, skip 2ch make ( make shell{ 2dc, ch2, 2dc}) in next ch , skip 2ch* 1dc, skip 2ch (2dc,ch2,2dc) in next ch, skip 2ch rep from to end* join with slip stitch in the first ch3

1rnd:  ch3as first dc, ( make shell {2dc,ch2,2dc}) in next ch2*1dc in next dc, ( make shell{2dc,ch2,2dc}) in next ch2,  rep from to end* with slst in the first ch3
repeat this round 4more time to reach to your thumb like this picture.

rnd22 : slip stitch to be in ch2 space , ch3 as first dc, 2dc, ch2, 3dc in the same ch2, ch1 *make shell {3dc, ch2, 3dc) in next ch2 , ch1,  rep from to end* with sl st in ch3

rnd23: slip stitch to be in ch2 space ,{ ch3 2dc, ch2, 3dc in the same ch2}, ch4 * make shell {3dc, ch2, 3dc} in next ch2, ch4 rep from* to end , join with sl st in first ch3.

rnd24: slip stitch to be in ch2 , {ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc }in the same ch2, ch3, sc in the ch1 in round 22, ch3 * make shell {3dc,ch2, 3dc} in next ch2,  ch3, sc in the ch1 in round 22, ch3* rep from to end with slst in first ch3.

make picot in the upper edge of your fingerless glove, and weave in end.

Snow In Egypt.

This is St. Catherine in Sinai . It is the first time I see snow in Egypt . Of course it is soooo far from my city, but it is in Egypt any way. ☻☻ ☻
I never see snow in the reality , but here is a small chance to see it lololll.
