Closer look at my motifs

Lily returns doing Irish crochet

LOL love Irish crochet!!! who doesn't lol. I have made an Irish crochet vest before, and have done many many Irish motifs. I am planning to do an Irish crochet sweater with more complicated motifs, but want to be sure that my hands still work Irish crochet, or maybe I am afraid to start doing my own sweater.
I still have some problem with the background. Not doing it itself, but making it with motifs or joining motif with background. There is a missing circle doing background. Still studying.

Irish Motif-New direction

Irish motif from Russian magazine. I love Russian magazine , and its patterns, motifs , and style too. I love to try new Irish motif from time to time. This one which be shown in the magazine will be the next one. I have made this one using cotton thread size 30, and steel  crochet hook size 10 .

Dress for my sister

I have made this dress for my sister. I have used a lace weight wool yarn.- about 560 meter per 100 grams, and crochet hook size 2.5mm, and 3mm.  This pattern is a Japaneses charted pattern, and the original pattern has no shrug with it. I have made this shrug using the same stitches of dress.

She didn't decide how she will wear it. She wanted to wear it with  a skinny jean  , and I suggested to wear it with high boot in another contrast color-maybe brown; I think she will need another blouse with more suit color. she agrees about another blouse , but not  about boot. If she decides, I will give you another picture.
